Hi everyone!

Here's this collection of 26 IRs:

Api 2622: line / mic: mono, stereo, sides
(punch, detailed mids, sweetened highs, 70s)

Midas transformer (from their 1176): mono, stereo, sides
(lack of character but can be useful, 2019)

Yamaha FX500 > api: stereo, sides
(acid 80s)

SSL Bus Compressor: passthru stereo, -2 GR stereo, sides
(80s, pretty highs)

TC Electronic Triple C: input at noon, unity gain, stereo, sides
(i’m certain it will be a favorite, it has that agressive sound from the early 2000s, it’s a multiband compressor that became the Finalizer, it's such a rad saturation box)

Elektronika rc02: pass thru, almost clipping, mono, stereo, sides
(russian digital delay, grimy, 90s)

Tape echo > Midas: stereo, sides
(to be used more to enhance a source, a mix, to add body/movement/density, this is the most 'creative' of the bunch, 70s)

The sides presets can be used on your ribbon mic recordings, to decode the m/s. Duplicate your track, put the impulse on one of them and you're good to go, with the added coloration from the hardware.

Use these IRs as inserts only (apart from Tape Echo), no dry signal, 100% wet, try them on your master bus as well to add color to your mixes, mix different mono & sides together, try things..!

I was really surprised at the effectiveness of these IRs to augment both individual sources and whole mixes!

Cry me a River feats:
Stéphanie Gabrysiak on vocals (iphone 4)
Mael Nesti on guitars (i can't remember the mic we used, it sounds like a ribbon, and it was most likely recorded thru a Ridge Farm tube preamp thingie, and then thru a Manley vari mu comp, pretty colored already with the phone recording on top :))

Doublebass feats:
Olivier Hermann on.. Doublebass (Beyer Dynamic m88)

Yes the m88 is hypercardioid, but, it works pretty well with the added duplicate mono track :)

Acoustic g + foley + shakers:

I recorded this both for you guys and for myself, to try the impulses in a 'real world' situation.. Chinese ribbon mic, I wanted to go in the soundcard directly, to have the least favorable sound, but i didn't have the heart to do it tonight, i will most certainly try it when i'll make a second round of these.

I'm expecting more transformers soon, this thing was really fun to do, and judging from visiting a friend who tried it on his current mix, it's going to be a super useful tool. The api 2622 gave class to really rough vocals, and they fit in the mix right after it was on, it was pretty cool haha!
